Dear Parishioners,
Just a reminder that we will be having the Rosary Procession and luncheon after the 10 am mass at St. Mary’s. This will be a way to honor our Lady of the Rosary and pray a rosary together. Please join us. Processions and praying the Rosary together as a community have a way of strengthening faith. Click here to read more!
Faith indeed has both a private and communal dimension. The communal dimension is that we journey together to heaven, witness to and encourage each other along the way. Being a Christian in today’s world is not easy, we need each other’s encouragement, support, example and prayers.
The month of October is the month of the Holy Rosary. The Rosary is special prayer given to us by Our Lady to know and love her son Jesus more. The 20 mysteries of the Rosary help us to consider and reflect on the Life of Jesus more deeply. The Rosary also helps us consider our lives in light of the eternal mysteries. There are many graces for ourselves and others attached to praying the Rosary. May you consider praying the Rosary daily, if you don’t already do, during this month of the Holy Rosary.
You may have noticed the beautiful flesh flowers that have graced our sanctuary and honored Our Lady over the last months. The flowers are provided by a generous anonymous donor and the arrangements are from our local Debbie’s Flower Barn.
This Saturday we will be hosting a special speaker at St. Mary's, along with Immaculate Conception in Colville. Michael O’Neill is a nationally known author, and television and radio host who has a program on EWTN called The Miracle Hunter. His talk on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 5:30 pm will cover "How the Catholic Church Investigates Miracles." O'Neill's presentation will include a question and answer session and copies of his books will be available for purchase after the talk. Everyone is welcome!
