All Saints Day, Nov. 1, is a a holy day of obligation for Catholics around the world, meaning that it is a day that Catholics are required to attend mass and observe the day with reverence and respect. Attending mass on All Saints Day is a powerful way to honor the saints and martyrs who have shaped our faith and our world. It is a day to remember those who have gone before us, for the sacrifices they made to spread the message of love and compassion that lies at the heart of our Catholic faith. Mass will be held in Chewelah on All Saints Day on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 5:30 pm at St. Mary of the Rosary. As it is usually Faith Night, we will have a potluck dinner after mass beginning about 6:30 pm with a theme of “family favorites.”
