Dear Parishioners,
God is faithful. What he promised of old, he has brought to fulfillment: “Christ, our paschal lamb, has been sacrificed,” and he has truly risen, just as he said. “We are witnesses” of these things, Peter proclaims, and so too are we. We revel in the same grace, communicated by the same Christ through the same Church. a
Easter confirms that salvation is real and present to us now – today and forever. Love now reigns definitely. Death and sin are overcome, Christ’s Resurrection is our resurrection, for he has opened for us the gates of eternal life. It is on this truth that we stake our whole lives. Filled with the glory of Christ’s Easter triumph, we cannot help but cry out: Alleluia!
Next Sunday is Divine Mercy Sunday. Our Lord made a special request to St. Faustina that the Sunday after Easter be especially dedicated to his mercy as it continues to flow through his pierced heart and wounded side. We cannot approach God without his mercy, a free and undeserved gift of his love. The hour of Mercy is 3 pm, that is when our Lord poured out his life for us on the cross. On Divine Mercy Sunday we will be having a special singing of the chaplet on the Divine Mercy at 3pm. Please join us for this special prayer of Divine Mercy. For the sake of his sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
On behalf of all our parishes and our staff I would like wish you all a very Happy Easter! May you be filled with the joy of the Risen Lord and know and feel his love and mercy.
