In the Rosary, the adult discovers sublime truths and the child sees inspiring images. It is impossible to gaze with love on the mysteries of Christ’s life without sharing in his attitudes. It is impossible to breathe deeply the perfume of this Roses of the Rosary without becoming saturated with it, for it is thus that we become the fragrance of Christ.
There are three ways in which we would like to celebrate our Parish Feast Day: Adoration, Rosary Procession and Dinner Banquet. We are going to have an all-night Adoration Vigil starting at 5 pm Saturday, Oct. 5 and continuing until 10 am Sunday, Oct. 6. We invite parishioners to take an hour to spend before the Blessed Sacrament. Then, after Mass on Oct. 6, we are going to have a Rosary Procession around the church with refreshments following in the parish hall. Then, on Saturday, Oct. 12 we will have our Parish Feast Day Banquet at 5 pm to celebrate St. Mary of the Rosary and our parish.
Our parish is many things and what our Pastoral Council will be presenting in our Pastoral Plan at the Feast Day Banquet is a plan to ensure that we are focusing on those things that will help us to be a Eucharistic centered community by growing in the areas of worship, discipleship, service, fellowship and evangelization. This Parish of St. Mary of Rosary has been in this community for over 100 years - let’s make sure this parish grows and flourishes for many generations to come.
