What bizarre times these are! And in our neck of the woods, I am referring not only to the COVID-19 pandemic that continues to rock the world, but also to the new arrangement of pastoral responsibilities in this region of the diocese. As you know, Fr. Steve Booth and four other pastors in the diocese retired at the end of June, and it will be a couple of years before our next seminarian will, please God, be ordained. So, some of our priests are being “stretched” a little thinner, and our area is affected by that.
I do ask your patience and understanding as Fr. Mike and I navigate these new waters. Please realize we are two priests covering an area until now served by three priests (and, if you go far enough back in history, probably more like twelve priests!). We are committed to serving you to the best of our ability and being as available to you as we possibly can. Fr. Mike is your main priest, but you will also see me from time to time. I look forward to meeting you.
I grew up in Pasco, WA, in a large Catholic family. I am the baby of the family, but not spoiled, of course! I went to college at CWU in Ellensburg, studying mechanical engineering. After graduating, I entered Bishop White Seminary in Spokane. I studied theology in Rome and was ordained in 2007. I served in Spokane, Ritzville, Odessa, and Wilbur before moving to Colville in 2017. Stevens County has been a great place to be; I love it here! Let’s see what good things the Good Lord has in store for us in the months and years ahead.
