eScrip has become a noteworthy source of parish income, especially for St. Mary of the Rosary and Holy Ghost.  Most of our eScrip income is the result of parishioners shopping at Safeway.  By registering your Safeway Club Card with the church, a percentage of each Safeway purchase is diverted to the church every time you shop.  And long story short, it does not cost you nor does it cost Safeway anything in order for this to happen.  The semi-annual “BacktoSchools” campaign began August 14.  Those who are already registered with eScrip are automatically earning bonus dollars whenever you purchase items identified with the yellow school bus tags.  Later, in September, all receipts, for those registered AND for those not registered, will have a code which will indicate how many bonus dollars you logged in August.  If you are registered, we will receive your bonus dollars automatically with no action on your part.  For those NOT registered, we can collect your bonus dollars  ONLY if you give us your receipt.  The bonuses cannot be cashed in for personal use.  They can only benefit an institution such as your church.  If you aren’t sure if you are signed up with eScrip, please call the parish office at 935-8028.
